RULES & TERMS

  • It is allowed to enter films that have been published online before submitting;
  • It is allowed to enter any number of films in any nominations, but one film can be submitted to only one nomination;
  • Submitting your films does not guarantee screening or acceptance. A notification of acceptance will be sent to you;
  • The film must be an original production and must have full clearance for all content, including music. Any issues that may arise due to the infringement of copyrights is the participant’s responsibility. The CINEMO is not responsible for any infringement of copyrights;
  • Promoting religious, racial, national discrimination; content containing uncensored expressions, violence and pornographic material is prohibited;
  • If there is any doubt about the filming of the film on a mobile phone, videos, screens, behind-the-scenes materials, etc. taken on the mobile phone may be required;
  • All films have to be submitted via FilmFreeway.com till 31 October 23:59. We do not accept direct email submissions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The submitted film must be shot in a mobile phone;
  • Use of additional equipment (professional or home made) is allowed, including (but not limited to) external microphone, lenses, lighting, tripod etc.
  • Any app or software (on the mobile phone or a computer) to edit video and audio as well as colour correction or special effects is allowed.
  • Runtime:
    – feature film: international – up to 30 min., local – up to 10 min.;
    – documentary film: international – up to 30 min., local – up to 10 min.;
    – social video: international – up to 3 min., local – up to 2 min.;
    – music video: up to 5 min.;
    – social media vlog: up to 5 min.;
  • Screen size: 1080p Full HD;
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9 (horizontal); social media vlog: 9:16 (vertical);
  • Foreign filmmakers are welcome in any language, but the submitted film in a language other than English must have English subtitles.

  • Film Director – Director of the Academic Russian Drama Theater, member of the Azerbaijan Professional Film Directors Guild. Awards: “Humay” (“Best Director of the Year”-2008 and “Best Clip of the Year”-2004), “Grand” (“Best Clip of the Year”-2006), “Golden Fairy” (“Best Debut”-2018).

    Emin Mirabdullayev (Baku, Azerbaijan)

  • Film director – directed several short films, film programmer of the Bosphorus Film Festival (eight years), the Diaspora Film Festival, coordinator of the market sections of the Cannes and Berlinale film festivals, and the Turkish cinema team.

    Onur Sherifi (Istanbul, Turkey)

  • Film producer and cultural project manager – organizer of the South Caucasus Documentary Film Festival (2006-2009), co-producer of the documentary “The Machine Which Makes Everything Disappear” (2012), which won the Directing Award at Sundance Film Festival (2013). First Appearance at IDFA, Best Documentary at “Its All True in Brazil”, Best Documentary at Sofia IFF, Best Feature Length Film at Tbilisi International Film Festival. Recently she finished working on a new documentary by Tinatin Gurchiani “Love Song”.

    Tamuna Gurchiani (Tbilisi, Georgia)

  • His short film “Romeo” was shown at the IX International Asian Film Festival in Los Angeles, European Premiere in Italy CA’ FOSCARI SHORT FILM FESTIVAL and received the “Special Jury Prize for Contribution to the Development of Cinematography as an Artistic Expression”, “Special Jury Prize for the Best Visual Film”, XI Film Festival “Kyrgyzstan – Country of Short Films” of the CIS, Baltic and Georgia – “Best Director”, XI International Forum of Young Cinema “Umut” – “Grand Prix”, and the film also participated in the official competition in Bulgaria Early Bird International Student Film Festival, Taiwan International Children’s Film Festival, in Turkey and other festivals.
